Shine on
You will be missed Syd

Finally I met Mark Addy 34 sounds strange and on Thursday 27th of July I got one more year on my forehead as a deep line.I need to get used to say that I am 34 years old now. From time to time I am still having a problem with 30's when I see someone 21 years old then I find it silly and smile. Anyways for my birthday I went to London to visit hubby and a very good friend who is visiting UK. Had a great time eat tons of sushi and couple of pints in SOHO.
The last night after long time of planning I manage to go to a West End show. When I was in U.S. I was amazed with broadway and the shows there and wondering if West End is that amazing too. Well I got my ticket for Donkeys' Years who is featuring the great looking guy from Knights Tale and Full Monthy Mark Addy. My ticket was amazingly from second row so when I sat down I felt like I am on the stage. It is a beautiful place Comedy Theatre.
Finally the play started after a couple of minutes he was there standing as handsome he is in real life with the full beard as well...
Sadly the play was not my cup of tea; it was too British and not easy for someone from other culture to understand the jokes and it was based on silly mistakes and situation comedy which I am not crazy about but for 2 hours it was great to be there watching Mark Addy live very much alive...
At the end I was nervous to go to stage door which I have never done that. I said why not then the police came down to check if all is ok they looked at me standing across the road and they left. After 5 minutes I have seen Mark Addy having a drink inside and luckily he stepped out to chat with his fellow play mates and have a drink. There was noone just me as a fan. I said 'Fuck it' to myself I should go and try and walked towards and he looked at me and I manage to speak english and make some sentences luckily and told him I was planning for a signature but stupid of me I did not have a pen I asked him if he mind to take a photo together took my digital and he found the cam very small and good looking. The I asked to James Dreyfus if he can kindly take a photo we put our arms around which was too much pressure and we took this great photo...
What can I say more....

Finally I made it to little west of South Wales after living here 19 months. Little emberassing for someone who loves to travel but you all know how it feels sometimes you got sick of doing everything by yourself and getting lazy. During 19 months I been to couple of times Spain more than 10 times to London once to Manchester couple of times to Scotland and to back home to Turkey but never had the chance to go to further than Cardiff.

My partner and a very good friend ( we know each other for 25 years and he is living in Brussels lately ) visited me during the long weekend and we had monday & tuesday 17th & 18th of July full of travelling. We did some timing mistakes but we did not want to plan everything and decided to drive along the coast after Cardiff. Penarth was a great spot just outside of Cardiff with a nice marina and a lovely pub beautiful building I should say and the sunset was great. After that we arrived to little towns sat down on the coast benches watch the sea finally made it to Barry & Barry Island.

It was getting late so we got back to M4 to arrive Swansea before midnight. When we arrived there finally it was around 11:30 at night we did not know anywhere so wondered on the streets and by chance we found the nice bar Eden. As you can imagine it was empty only couple of people were playing pool but we liked the place also the staff was very helpful.

After a round of drinks we looked for a hotel but all the hotels we checked was full sadly we went back to the car and drove back to Newport which took around 45 minutes not too bad at all. I always thought it will take hours to go to Swansea.

This is a photo which we found very interesting to keep the streets clean they make board like this for the gums...

Next stop will be London next weekend for partner's bbq party... I am already hungry...
